SheVOLVE Episode 5: Have a Crush on Your Decisions

SheVOLVE: Discover and embrace your hidden superpowers!

Several years ago, the concept of "If it isn't a 'Hell yes!' then it's a No" was introduced - at least as far as we know - by Derek Sivers in his book Hell Yeah or No.

Gael has read the book and thinks this idea is perhaps one that is better suited for business and commerce than for personal decisions. From Felicia's standpoint, while some things are that black and white, it doesn't quite resonate with me.

By contrast, a video we ran across a video recently, talks about developing a "crush" on your decisions and seeing how that changes your approach to your life. Be it about a new idea, activity, or project - or even a person, approaching the options through the lens of possibly having a crush on it feels softer, lighter, and allows for the possibility for those little nudges and curiosities to grow into something more meaningful. And so today, we talk about how allowing yourself to follow the energy of something you are intrigued by, curious about, or attracted to, maybe a little or a lot, maybe a better choice than the Hell Yes/Hell no philosophy.

Gael is on vacation next week, so our normal episode together will be replaced with an interview with Marelda Rodrigues, who is one of the speakers at the 2024 Massage & Spa Success Summit which is coming up in September. Marelda is a Grief Massage Therapist, Educator, and Wellness Coach at Marelda Rodrigues, Grief Massage and Wellness.

She and Felicia will be talking about Developing Emotional Mastery.
