Saying Yes: Day #1


In the podcast, I shared an example of going to a Zumba class after having several arguments with myself about why I couldn’t or shouldn’t. If I hadn’t gone, I would have been upset with myself for missing the class with the instructor I like, especially knowing I’ll miss it for the next 2 weeks since I am traveling. Also, exercise, dancing to the music I enjoy, and sweating are crucial to my mental health and I was definitely in need of that. So I said yes to the urge, yes to my needs, and yes to Zumba.


Though I was 10 minutes late from trying to accomplish some of those “should dos”,  I enjoyed every minute I was there. Smiling and sweaty after 40 minutes of jumping around to some Latin beats, I emerged happy and satisfied that I said yes and got to class.
